Stitch Repeat – Shell #1

Easy Skill

 

 

This stitch can be worked with any size yarn. Use the appropriate size hook for your project. In the video, we used worsted weight yarn and a size H-8 hook.

 

 

 

Abbreviations

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

rep - repeat

sp - space

st - stitch

Special Stitches

Shell: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in specified st or sp.

Chain a multiple of 4 + 2

Row 1:(Right Side) Shell in 7^th ch from hook (skipped ch counts as first dc and ch 3), * skip next 3 ch, Shell in next ch; rep from * across, ending with skip 2 ch, dc in last ch.

Row 2:Ch 3, turn, Shell in each Shell across, ending with dc in last dc.

Repeat Row 2 until your project reaches the desired length. Finish off and weave in ends.
