Vintage Granny Square Layette Crochet Pattern

Sizes:
Afghan – About 36" square.
Small (3-6 months) – To fit chest 16"-17";
Medium (6-12 months) – To fit chest 17"-18";
Large (12-18 months) – To fit chest 18"-19"
Pattern written for Small with Medium and Large in parentheses.

Materials: Baby Weight Yarn #2 :
White (MC) – 17½oz, 1585yds (500g,1450m)
Baby Pink (CC) – 10½oz, 951yds (300g,870m)
Premier Cotton Fair used in models.

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hooks:
For Afghan - F-5 (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
For Small Size - D-3 (3.25 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
For Medium Size - F-5 (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
For Large Size - H-8 (5.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:
For Afghan - First 2 rnds = 2" square.
For Small - Each Granny Square = 2" square.
For Medium - Each Granny Square = 2¼" square.
For Large - Each Granny Square = 2½" square.
