Size:About 3½" round.
Materials:Worsted Weight Yarn
Blue - 12 yds
Crochet Hook:Size I-9 (5.50 mm)
Abbreviations
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
lp - loop
rem - remaining
rep - repeat
rnd - round
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
sp - space
st - stitch
yo - yarn over
Star
Rnd 1:(Right Side) Starting at center, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1(loosely), 15 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (15 dc)
Rnd 2:* Ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, skip next 2 dc (on Rnd 1), sl st in next dc; rep from * around. (5 points) Finish off and weave in ends.

I am always find great patterns and ideas at Maggie's. This pattern is easy and quick to work up. I was creating a "Reach for the Stars" Theme hat for a "Mad Hatter Fundraiser" I used this pattern for the stars using various yarn weights and hook sizes...oh and even added a tail to some to make shooting stars.
