Floral Scrubby - Free Crochet Pattern

Dreamz wooden crochet hooks are Maggie's favorite!

This Nylon Mesh is great for scrubbies!  It won't scratch your pots and pans, and it's pre-cut!

 

 

 

Floral Scrubby

Easy Skill

 

Size: About 9" diameter.

 

Materials: Premier® Yarns – Home™ Cotton used in model.

Worsted Weight Yarn :

For each Scrubby:

Yellow – 1oz, 50yds (28g, 45m)

 

Abbreviations

beg - beginning

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

lp(s) - loop(s)

rem - remaining

rep - repeat

rnd - round

sc - single crochet(s)

sp(s) - space(s)

slst(s) - slip stitch(es)

st(s) - stitch(es)

yo - yarn over

 

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

3" wide Nylon Netting – 2 yds.

 

Crochet Hook:

Size N-15 (10.00 mm) – For Netting.

Size I-9 (5.50 mm) – For Flower.

 

Gauge: Not important.

 

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

 

Special Stitches

Shell: (3dc, ch1, 3dc) in same st or sp indicated.

 

FLORAL SCRUBBY

Center

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, using Netting and larger hook, ch4, slst in first ch to form ring, ch3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), 11dc in ring; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-3). (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch1, 2sc in same st as joining, sc in next dc, [2sc in next dc, sc in next dc] around; join with slst to first sc. (18sc) Finish off and weave in ends.

 

Petals

Rnd 3: With right side facing, join yarn with slst to any sc, ch4 (counts as first dc and ch-1, now and throughout), 3dc in same sc, ch1, [skip next sc, shell in next sc, ch1] around, ending with skip next sc, 2dc in first sc; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-4). (9 shells & 9ch-1sps)

Rnd 4: Slst in next ch-1sp, ch4, 3dc in same sp, ch2, [shell in next shell, ch2] around, ending with 2dc in first sp; join as before. (9 shells & 9 ch-2sps)

Rnd 5: Slst in next ch-1sp, ch4, 3dc in same sp, ch1, sc in next ch-2sp, ch1, [shell in next shell, ch1, sc in next ch-2sp, ch1] around, ending with 2dc in first sp; join as before. (9 shells, 9sc & 18ch-1sps)

Rnd 6: Slst in next ch-1sp, ch4, 3dc in same sp, ch2, long-sc in corresponding ch-1sp on Rnd 3, ch2, [shell in next shell, ch2, long-sc in corresponding ch-1sp on Rnd 1, ch2] around, ending with 2dc in first sp; join as before. (9 shells, 9sc & 18ch-2sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
