Cluster Trim Heart

Easy Skill
Size: About 5" wide by 4½" high.
Crochet Hook:Size 7 (4.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn:
For Each Heart:
Main Color (MC) – About 12 yds.
Contrasting Color (CC) – About 8 yds.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Single Crochet Decrease over 3 sts (sc3dec): Draw up lp in each of next 3 sts, yo, draw through 4 lps on hook.
HEART
Rnd 1: (Right Side) With MC, ch14, 3sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3sc in next ch, sc in next 5 ch, 3sc in last ch, working in unused lps on other side of starting ch, sc in next 4 ch, sc3dec (over next 3 ch), sc in next 4 ch. (28sc) DO NOT JOIN, MARK LAST SC OF EACH RND.
Rnd 2: Sc in next sc, 3sc in next sc (center sc of 3-sc group), [sc in next 7 sc, 3sc in next sc (center sc of 3-sc group)] twice, sc in next 4 sc, sc3dec (over next 3 sc), sc in next 4 sc. (32sc) Move marker.
Rnd 3: Sc in next sc, 3sc in next sc (center sc of 3-sc group), [sc in next 9 sc, 3sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 4 sc, sc3dec, sc in next 4 sc. (36sc) Move marker.
Rnd 4: Sc in next sc, 3sc in next sc (center sc of 3-sc group), [sc in next 11 sc, 3sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 4 sc, sc3dec, sc in next 4 sc. (40sc) Move marker.
Rnd 5: Sc in next sc, 3sc in next sc (center sc of 3-sc group), [sc in next 13 sc, 3sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 4 sc, slst in next 3 sc, sc in next 4 sc, slst in next sc. (48sts) Finish off and weave in ends.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join CC with sc to center sc (of 3-sc group) at bottom point of Heart, [ch5, dc in side of sc just made, skip next sc, sc in next sc] 10 times, ch5, dc in side of sc just made, skip next sc, slst in next 3 slsts, [sc in next sc, ch5, dc in side of sc just made, skip next sc] 11 times; join with slst to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
