Size: To fit 3" diameter ball.

Materials: Premier® Yarns – Enchant® – used in model.
Lace Weight Yarn : King's Crown – 50yds per ornament

CASING
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at top, using double strand of yarn, ch12; join with slst to first ch to form ring; ch1, 24sc in ring; join with slst to first sc. (24sc)
Rnd 2: Ch1, sc in same st as joining, [ch5, skip next sc, sc in next sc] around, ending ch2, dc in first sc (to form last ch-5lp and position yarn for next round). (12 ch-5lps)
Rnds 3-8: Ch1, sc in same st as joining, [ch5, sc in next ch-5lp] around, ending ch2, dc in first sc. (12 ch-5lps)
At end Rnd 8, finish off leaving long end.

Tassel

Cut cardboard 5½” wide. Wind double strand of yarn 20 times around width of cardboard.

With a 12” strand of yarn, tie strands tightly together around top. Using sharp scissors, cut yarn at opposite end.

Wrap a piece of yarn tightly around strands a few times about 1" below top, securing ends with a knot. Trim ends of tassel. Using long ends at top of tassel sew tassels to bottom of each ball.


Assembly – use photo as guide
Fit casing over Christmas ball.
Using long end and needle, gather together lps of last round and pull tight to close around ball. Secure and finish off and weave in end.
Attach Tassel.
