Size L-11 (8.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: L-hook - 3 sc = 1", 4 sc rows = 1"

This was a very fun pattern. My husband loved it. I think the directions were good. The algae and the clam proved real challenges for me, but the finished product came out really nice. I also learned the cross-stitch for the turtles so all in all it was a definite learning experience :) Would love to post a photo of the finished afghan, but I do not know how on this site...also added some fish for fun: a "Nemo & Dory".
