St. Patrick's Day TP Topper

Beginner or Easy Skill

Size: 5" across top x 4-1/2" long.

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn: 4 oz Green(G) and small amount Black(B); Tapestry Needle; Felt - Yellow 2" x 3" piece; Hot Glue.

Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm).

Directions
Rnd 1:
(Right Side) Starting at top with G, ch 1, (center ch), ch 3 (counts as dc now and throughout), work 11dc in center ch, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3.  Join Rnds 1-4 in this manner.  DO NOT TURN EACH RND.
Rnd 2:Ch 3, 2dc in each st around, join. (24dc)
Rnd 3:Ch 3, 2dc in next st, (dc in next st, 2dc in next st)around, join.  (36dc)
Rnd 4:Ch 3, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, (dc in each of next 2sts, 2dc in next st)around, join. (48dc)
Rnd 5:Working in back loops only, ch 3, dc in each st around.  (48dc)
Rnds 6-8:Working in both lps, dc around. 

At the end of rnd 8, fasten off G, join B.

Rnd 9:With B, rep rnd 5.
Rnds 10-11:Dc around. 

At the end of rnd 11, fasten off B.
Rnd 12:With right side facing, working in front loops only, join G in any st, ch 3, dc in each of next 2sts, 2dc in next st, (dc in each of next 3sts, 2dc in next st)around, join.  (60dc)
Rnd 13:Working in both lps, ch 3, dc in each of next 3sts, 2dc in next st, (dc in each of next 4sts, 2dc in next st)around, join.  (72dc)  Fasten off.

Finishing
Weave in ends.
Cut Buckle from Felt and glue to front of cover.
