Materials:Heavy Rug Yarn (Bulky):
Green (70 yds),
Yellow (140 yds)
Black (210 yds).

Crochet Hook:Size H-8 (5.00 mm).

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Double Crochet Cluster (dc-cl):Keeping last loop of each st on hook, work 3 dc in st or sp indicated, yo and pull through all loops on hook.

Fringe: Wind each color yarn over a 2 inch cardboard. Cut across one end. Fold each strand in half. Insert hook from back to front. Place folded end on hook. Pull strand halfway through to form a loop Bring ends through loop. Pull ends to tighten.

ROSE

Rnd 1:(Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 7, (hdc, ch 4) 5 times in 7th ch from hook, (skipped ch counts as first hdc and ch 4); join with sl st to first hdc. (6 ch-4 lps)
Rnd 2:Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-4 lp around; join in beginning ch-1. (6 petals)
Rnd 3:Ch 6, working behind petals, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 5, sc in sp between next 2 sc between petals; rep from * 3 times, ch 5; join in first st of beginning ch-6.
Rnd 4:Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-4 lp around; join in beginning ch-1. (6 petals)
Rnd 5:Ch 8, working behind petals, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 7, sc in sp between next 2 sc between petals; rep from * 3 times, ch 7; join in first st of beginning ch-8.
Rnd 6:Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 2 dc, 3 tr, 2 dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-4 lp around; join in beginning ch-1. (6 petals)
Rnd 7:Ch 9, working behind petals, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 8, sc in sp between next 2 sc between petals; rep from * 3 times, ch 8; join in first st of beginning ch-8.
Rnd 8:Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, 2 tr, 3 dtr, 2 tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-4 lp around; join in beginning ch-1. (6 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.

Leaf Clusters:
* With right side facing, join Green with sl st in dc before sp between 2 petals, (dc-cl, ch 3, dc-cl) in sp between petals, skip next 2 sts of next petal, join with sl st in next dc. Finish off. Rep from * 5 times more.

RUG
Rnd 1:
With right side facing, join Black with sc to center dtr of any petal, 2 sc in same sp, * sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, tr in next st already worked in, hdc in next cl-st, 2 sc in next loop, hdc in next cl-st, tr in next st already worked in, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st; rep from * around, end to correspond; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2:Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), (dc, ch 2, dc) in next st, * dc in next 14 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next st; rep from * 4 times, dc in next 13 sts; join with sl st to first dc.
Rnd 3:Ch 3, * 2 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next ch-2 lp, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 14 dc; rep from * around, ending to correspond; join.
Rnd 4:Ch 3, * dc in each dc to within 1 st before the ch-2 lp, 2 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, ending to correspond; join.
Rnds 5-10:Rep Rnd 4.

At the end of Rnd 10, finish off and weave in ends.

- Make a Fringe around Rug, alternating colors. Lay Rug flat on hard surface and trim ends of Fringe.
