Moses Basket Baby Crochet Pattern
Any little girl will love to carry a small baby doll in this Moses basket with matching bunting and bonnet. This crochet pattern ensemble is constructed out of softest superfine (also known as sock- or fingering-weight) yarn to make it dainty, yet durable for play. Even a collectable cherub doll can have an appropriate resting place for you to display them in style. The sturdy Moses basket comes with instructions to complete a bumper lining, a lightly stuffed mattress and miniature afghan and pillow where your precious, petite angel can rest its head. The bunting and bonnet crochet pattern are designed fit a 5-inch tall doll. Once completed, all you need is to tuck your tiny treasure into the Moses Basket. Now it is easy to carry this precious cargo anywhere.
Even though the set is made from Superfine yarn, only basic crochet stitches are used throughout. The entire set is categorized as "Easy" for a beginner crochet level. This crochet pattern set includes several small-scale pieces that are easy to take with it. This makes the Moses Basket Baby pattern an ideal crochet project to work on when traveling or sitting in a waiting room. The easy skill level means you can quickly pick up the pattern where you left off. There is no worry about intricate design stitches that require extra counting and tracking. Moses Basket Baby makes a great gift idea for anyone that collects or enjoys playing with baby dolls. Change up the color combinations for a customized crochet baby set that fits the personality of the receiver.
I spent hours and hours on the Moses Basket crochet pattern. At one point I was very discouraged and ready to throw the whole thing, baby and all out the window! Luckily I persisted and once I put it all together I realized it was one of the cutest things I have ever designed!
I used fingering weight Twinkle Yarn and a 5" Doll. Additional materials you will need are a very small amount of fiberfill and one sheet of plastic canvas.
These would make great baby shower gifts or items to sell at shows. Just remember to give designer credit.
Dress up your teeny, cherished cherub in a matching two-tone bunting and bonnet, made from the softest superfine (also known as sock- or fingering-weight) yarn. Then tuck your tiny treasure into a Moses Basket to carry around with you. Inside the sturdy basket, lined with a bumper, are a lightly stuffed mattress and miniature afghan and pillow, where your precious, petite angel can rest its head.
Even though the crochet pattern set is made from Superfine yarn, only basic crochet stitches are used throughout, categorizing the skill level for this adorable ensemble as "Easy".
