Halloween Witch

Size:To fit 13" Fashion Girl Doll

 

Materials:Sport Weight Yarn: Black - 3 oz; Small amount Orange; Yarn Needle

Crochet Hook:Size F-5 (3.75 mm)

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

 

Special Stitches

Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec): Keeping last lp of each st on hook, dc in next 2 sts, yo, pull through 3 lps on hook.

 

DRESS - Bodice

Row 1:(Right Side) Starting at neck, with Black, ch 21, 2 dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped ch count as first dc), dc in next ch, [2 dc in next ch, dc in next ch] across. (28 dc)

Row 2:Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and through-out), turn, dc in first dc, [dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc] across. (38 dc)

Row 3:(Armholes) Ch 3, turn, dc in next 5 dc, ch 6, skip next 6 dc, dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc, ch 6, skip next 6 dc, dc in next 6 dc. (30 dc and 2 ch-6 lps)

Row 4:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 5 dc, dc in next 6 ch, dc in next 18 dc, dc in next 6 ch, dc in last 6 dc. (42 dc)

Row 5:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 4 dc, [dc dec, dc in next dc] twice, dc dec, dc in next 2 dc, [dc dec] twice, dc in next dc, dc dec, dc in next dc, [dc dec] twice, dc in next 2 dc, dc dec, [dc in next dc, dc dec] twice, dc in last 5 dc. (31 dc)

Row 6:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 4 dc, dc dec, dc in next 5 dc, dc dec, dc in next 3 dc, dc dec, dc in next 5 dc, dc dec, dc in last 5 dc. (27 dc)

Row 7:Ch 3, turn, dc dec, [dc in next dc, dc dec] across. (18 dc) DO NOT FINISH OFF.

 

Skirt

Row 8:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 2 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc] across. (23 dc)

Row 9:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 2 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc] across. (28 dc)

Row 10:Ch 3, turn, [dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc] twice, dc in next 9 dc. (30 dc)

Row 11:Ch 3, turn, [dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next dc] twice, dc in next 10 dc. (32 dc)

Row 12:Ch 3, turn, [dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next dc] twice, dc in next 8 dc. (32 dc) Leave remaining 2 dc unworked. Join with sl st to first dc.

Work continues in Rounds. MARK ENDS OF EACH ROUND.

Rnd 13:Sc in next dc, hdc in next dc, dc in next 14 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 15 dc. (33 sts)

Rnds 14-28:2 dc in first dc, [dc in next dc] around. (34, 35, 36, … 46, 47, 48 dc)

Sleeves

Rnd 1:With right side facing, working in skipped dc on Armhole Row, join Black with sc in 4th dc, sc in next 2 dc, work 2 dc in side of next dc, work 3 tr in top of same dc, working in unused lps of ch-6, 3 tr in next 6 ch, work 2 dc in side of next dc, sc in next 3 dc. (31 sts) DO NOT JOIN. MARK END OF EA RND.

Rnds 2-4:Sc in next 3 sc, dc in next 2 dc, tr in next 21 tr, dc in next 2 dc, sc in next 3 sc. (31 sts)

Rnd 5:[Sc in next sc, skip next sc] around, sc in last sc. (16 sc)

Rnd 6:[Skip next sc, sc in next sc] around. (8 sc)

Rnd 7:Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and through-hout), [dc in next sc] around; join with sl st to first dc (3rd ch of ch-3). (8 dc)

Rnds 8-13:Ch 3, [dc in next dc] around; join as before. (8 dc)

At the end of Rnd 13, finish off and weave in ends.

CAPE

With Orange, ch 100. Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 1:Skip first 44 ch, join Black with sl st to next ch, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 3 dc in same ch, 4 dc in next 11 ch. (48 dc) Leave remaining ch-sts unworked.

Rows 2-29:Ch 3, turn, [dc in next dc] across. (48 dc)

At the end of Row 29, finish off and weave in ends.

 

HAT

Row 1:(Right Side) Starting at tip, with Black, ch 4, 2 dc in 4th ch from hook(skipped ch count as first dc). (3 dc)

Row 2:Ch 3, turn, dc in first dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. (5 dc)

Row 3:Ch 3, turn, dc in first dc, [dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc] across. (8 dc)
