Materials:Size 20 Mercerized Crochet Cotton: Turquoise (1200 yds) and White (400 yds);

Crochet Hook:Steel No. 5 (1.90 mm) and No. 7 (1.65 mm).

Special Stitches

Single Crochet Decrease: (sc dec):Draw up a lp in each of next 2 sts, yo and draw through 3 lps on hook.

Cluster-Decrease (cl-dec):Keeping last loop of each st on hook, dc in next 2 sts or sps indicated, yo and pull through all loops on hook.

MAT

Work tightly for best results.

Rnd 1:Starting at center, with 3 strands Turquoise and No. 5 hook, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2:Ch 5, dc in same st, (dc, ch 2, dc) 7 times in next sc;join to 3rd st of ch-5.
Rnd 3:Slst in next ch-2 sp, ch 5, dc in same sp, [dc in next 2 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sp] around; join to 3rd st of ch-5.
Rnds 4-22:SI st in next ch-2 sp, ch 5, dc in same sp, * dc in each dc across to corner (2 more than last md), (dc, ch 2, dc) in corner sp; rep from * around; join to 3rd st of ch-5.
Rnd 23:Ch 1, (3 sc in next sp, hdc in next 3 dc, work dc across through 4th dc from corner, hdc in next 3 dc) around; join to first sc.
Rnd 24:Ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 2 sc, * hdc in next 2 sts, make dc across through 3rd st from corner, hdc in next 2 hdc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around; join to first sc.
Rnd 25:Ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in each st around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 26:With right side facing, using 2 strands White with No. 7 hook, join with sl st to center of 3 sc between scallops, * (sc, ch 2, sc) in next sc, sl st in next sc; rep from * around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.

GRAPE SPRAY

Rnd 1:With 2 strands White and No. 7 hook, ch 9, skip 1 ch, (sc in next ch, sc dec) twice, sc in next 2 sc, ch 9, skip 1 ch, sc in next 8 ch, ch 7, skip 1 ch, (sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch) twice, sc in next 2 ch, draw up a lp at base of firstt 2 ribs, yo and draw through all 3 lps.
Rnd 2:Ch 1, sc in same st on first rib, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 2, sI st in last sc (picot), sc in first sc on other side of rib, hdc in next st, dc in next st, draw up a lp in next 3 sts, skip next st in angle, draw up lp in next 2 sts on next rib, yo, draw through all 6 Ips, cl-dec over next 2 sts, dc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 sc in next st, a ch-2 picot. sc in first sc on other side, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 dc, draw up a lp in next 3 sts, skip next st in angle, draw up a lp in next st, yo and draw through all 5 lps on hook, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, a picot, sc in first sc on other side of rib, hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, sc in end st, a picot, sc in first sc on other side of rib, hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, sl st in next st; ch 25, skip first st, sc in next 7 ch; ch 35, skip first st, sl st in next 34 ch, skip next st, sl st in next 4 ch, ch 5, skip next st, sl st in next 4 ch, sI st in next 12 ch of main stem, sI st in next st on Leaf.  Finish off and weave in ends.

GRAPES
Row 1:(Right Side) Ch 13, 5 dc in 6th st from hook, remove hook from lp, insert it back in first dc from front-to-back, catch lp and draw through (popcorn st), (ch 3, skip 2 ch, pc-st in next ch) twice, ch 1, dc in last ch.
Row 2:Ch 3, turn, 5 dc in first dc and make into a reverse pc-st by inserting hook from back-to-front through first dc, catch lp and pull through, (ch 3, rev-pc-st in ch-3 sp between next 2 pcsts) twice, ch 3, rev-pc-st in last ch-4.
Row 3:Ch 3, turn, pc st between first 2 pc-sts, (ch 3, pc-st between next 2 pc-sts) twice.
Row 4:Ch 3, turn, rev-pc-st between first 2 pc-sts, ch 3, rev-pc-st between next 2 pc-sts.
Row 5:Ch 3, turn, pc-st between 2 pc-sts.  Finish off and weave in ends.

- Sew to short stem midway of Leaf stem.

TENDRIL
Ch 50, skip first ch, sl st in next 49 ch.  Finish off leaving long end for sewing

- Using long end, sew between 3rd & 4th Rows on left side of Grapes.

- Using photo as guide, sew Spray on one section of

Mat. Repeat on other 7 sections.

- Stretch and pin Mat right-side-down in true shape. Steam and press dry through a cloth.
