Rosebud Bib

Beginner Skill

Size: 9" long x 8 ½" wide.

Materials:Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn
White (W) - 1 ¼ oz, 60 yd (35 g, 54 m);
Small amounts Pink (P) and Green (G);
Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook: Size G-6 (4.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 13 dc and 7 Rows = 4".

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

BIB
Row 1
(Right Side): With W, ch 26, dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in each ch across.  (24 dc)
Rows 2-11:Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, dc in each dc across. (24 dc)
Row 12:Ch 3, turn, dc in next 7 dc. (8 dc) Leave rem sts unworked.
Row 13:Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across. (8 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.

Left Side of Neck
Row 1:
With wrong side facing, skip next 8 dc in Row 11, join W with sl st to next dc, ch 3, dc in last 7 dc. (8 dc)
Row 2:Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across. (8 dc) DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging
Rnd 1:
Ch 1, do not turn, working around Bib, work 2 sc in end of each row and sc in each st, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to 1st sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 2:With right side facing, join P with sc to 1st sc of Rnd 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to 1st sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Ties
Using picture as guide, join P with sl st to Neck Edge, ch 35.  Finish off and weave in ends. Rep for 2nd Tie.

Rose
With P, ch 8, (3 sc, sl st) in 2nd ch from hook, (3 sc, sl st) in next ch, (3 dc, sl st) in next 5 ch. Finish off, leaving long end.

Leaf
With G, ch 12, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, sl st in next 3 ch, sc in next 3 ch, (sl st, sc, sl st) in last ch; working around other side in unused lps of starting chain, sc in next 3 ch, sl st in next 3 ch, sc in next 3 ch, sl st in last ch.  Finish off leaving long end in end.

Finishing
- Weave in short ends.
- Using photo as a guide, with long end, sew Leaf to Bib; roll Rose into spiral and using long end, sew in place over Leaf.
