Easy Skill

Size: 8 ½" across.

Materials:Worsted Weight Yarn:
White (W) - 2 oz, 110 yd (56 g, 99 m);
Yellow (Y) - 2 oz, 110 yd (56 g, 99 m);
Small amount of Green (G). 

Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook:Size I-9 (5.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Rnds 1-2 = 2" across.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Shell #1:(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in st or sp indicated. 

Shell #2:(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in st or sp indicated.

Half-Treble Crochet (htr): Yo twice and insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo, draw through two lps, yo, draw through last 3 lps.

Front
Rnd 1
(Right Side):With Y, ch 1, (center ch), ch 2 (counts as hdc now and throughout), work 8 hdc in center ch; join with sl st to first hdc. (9 hdc)
Rnd 2:Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around; join. (18 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3:With right side facing, join W with sl st to any st, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st, skip 2 sts, [shell #1 in next st, skip next 2 sts] around; join with sl st to first dc.  (6 Shells)
Rnd 4:Sl st in next 2 dc and next ch-2 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp, sc in sp between next 2 shells, [shell #2 in center of next shell, sc in sp between next 2 shells] around; join with sl st to first dc. (6 Shells and 6 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 5:With right side facing, join G with sc to any ch-3 sp, 2 sc in same sp, ch 2, (htr, ch 2, htr) in next sc, ch 2, * 3 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, (htr, ch 2, htr) in next sc, ch 2; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc.  (12 htr and 18 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6:With right side facing, join Y with sl st to first sc of any 3-sc group, ch 3, dc in next 2 sc, (2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in htr) twice, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp, * dc in next 3 sc, [2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in next htr] twice, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st to first dc. (66 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 7:With right side facing, join W with sl st to any st, ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, [dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st] around, ending with dc in same last st; join. (78 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 2:Ch 1, 2 dc in each st around; join. (24 dc)
Rnd 3:Ch 1, dc in first st, 2 dc in next st, [dc in next st, 2 dc in next st] around; join. (36 dc)
Rnd 4:Ch 1, dc in first st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, [dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st] around; join. (48 dc)
Rnd 5:Ch 1, dc in first st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, [dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st] around; join. (60 dc)
Rnd 6:Ch 1, dc in first st, dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, [dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st] around; join. (72 dc)
Rnd 7:Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 10 sts, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next 11 sts, 2 sc in next st) around; join. (78 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.

Finishing
With wrong sides together and working through both sides at the same time, join G with sc to any st, ch 15, sl st in sc just made (hanger made), sc in same st as joining, ch 3, skip next st, [sc in next st, ch 3, skip next st] around; join with sl st to first sc.  Finish off and weave in ends. (40 ch-3 lps)
