 Bottle Carrier Free Crochet Pattern

 

Skill level: Easy

Finished Size: Bottom 2-3/4" diameter; 8" length (before handle)
Stretches to fit 8-16 ounce bottles.

Materials: 45 yards sport weight acrylic yarn and yarn needle.

Crochet Hook: Size E-4 (3.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Rnds 1-3 = 2-1/2"

 

 

Abbreviations

beg - beginning
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
lp - loop
rep - repeat
rnd - round
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
sp - space
st - stitch

 

DIRECTIONS

Ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1:Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), 13 dc in ring; join with sl st in first dc. (14 dc)

Rnd 2:Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each st around; join with sl st in first dc. (28 dc)

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next st, * 2 dcin next st, dc in next st; rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc. (42 dc)

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, * ch 5, skip next 2 sts, sc in next st; rep from * 11 times more, ch 2, join with dc in first sc to form last lp. (14 ch-5 lps)

Rnds 5-23: Sc in first lp formed by joining of previous rnd, * ch 5, sc in next ch-5 lp; rep from * 11 times more, ch 2, join with dc in first sc to form last lp. Do not finish off.

HANDLE

At end of Rnd 23, ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 167, being careful not to twist chs, skip next 6 ch-5 lps, sc in next ch-5 lp, sc in each ch across, join with

sl st in first sc. (169 sc)

 Finish off and weave in ends.
