Filet crochet isn't just for doilies anymore! These eight charted designs for afghans finish quickly, with pretty images of birds in flight, easy geometrics, a delicate butterfly, or Art Deco florals. You'll race through the rows of simple stitches, adding the lacy look of filet crochet to your home in a bold new way with an afghan for every room! 8 Designs by Michele Mireau to crochet using medium weight yarn: Mulberry Ripple, Blue Seagull Fantasy, Blueberry Diamonds, Lilac Mosaic, Peach Opposites Attract, Pink Butterfly, Grey Simply Squares, and Yellow Springtime. Each design is worked by following a square-grid chart, where open squares represent working "ch 1, dc" and colored squares indicate "2 dc."

For those of you that reviewed with complaints about the count being off. In case you haven't discovered the fix, here it is:

For Leisure Arts Filet Crochet Pattern Booklet #5584

Pink Butterfly:Row 1 has the wrong stitch count. It should be 80 ch-1 sps. to match the chart on page 20
Yellow Springtime: The beginning chain should be 142 and row 1 should be 69 ch-1 sps. to match the chart on page 26.

Happy Crocheting Ladies.

Save your money! Stitch count is off! I have been crocheting for 40 years! I have tore the butterfly out 5 times! I have counted and recounted! It just does not work! I gave it one star only because you have to!

I'm trying to do the butterfly. Stitch count is so off it's crazy! Save your money! Very very disappointed! I have been crocheting for 40 years.

I have just got this book "Filet afgans" and I have only tried one pattern and it doesn't seem to work the amount of chain spaces they say do not match up with the diagram you have to follow, so I am still tyring to get it right. I am not inpressed, Maybe I am doing something wrong but I have crocheted for many years now and done patterns like this before. If anyone has any idea help would be nice.
