Chair cover set free crochet pattern

Easy Skill
Size:Each Motif about 4 inches square.
 
Materials:

Size 20 Mercerized Crochet Cotton:
White (1200 yds)
Crochet Hook:No. 12 (1.00 mm).

Special Stitches

Treble Cluster (tr-cl):Keeping last loop of each st on hook, tr in sts or sps indicated, yo and pull through all loops on hook.

Double Crochet Cluster (dc-cl):Keeping last loop of each st on hook, dc in sts or sps indicated, yo and pull through all loops on hook.

Work tightly for best results.

FIRST MOTIF
Rnd 1:
Starting at center, ch 9, dc in 9th ch from hook, (ch 5, dc in same st) twice, ch 5, join with sl st in next 3rd st of ch-9. Wrap starting thread end around 1 dc up to edge.

Rnd 2:Working over thread end, sl st in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, 6 tr in same sp, (ch 9, 7 tr in next sp) 3 times, ch 4, join with tr in top of first  ch-5 (ending at exact corner).

Rnd 3:Ch 11, * tr-cl over next 4 tr, ch 5, tr-cl over same tr as last tr and next 3 tr, ch 5, ** (tr, ch 11, tr) in 5th (center) st of corner ch-9, ch 5; rep from * around, ending at **; tr in next tr, ch 5, tr in 6th st of first ch-11 (ending at exact corner).

Rnd 4:Ch 4, 3 dc in side-top of last tr, * (5 dc in next sp, dc in next st) 4 times, 5 dc in corner sp, 7 dc in 6th (center) st of same sp; repeat from * around; end with 3 dc in same st with first 3 dc, join to ch-4.

Rnd 5:Ch 6, * skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, (ch 3, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc) 5 times to center dc at next corner, ch 3, dc in same corner dc, ch 3; rep from * around; end with ch 3, join to 3rd st of first ch-6.

Rnd 6:Ch 5, * dc-cl over same st and next dc, ch 2, dc in same dc, ** ch 2; rep from * across to first dc at corner ending at **; ch 2, dc in same corner dc, ch 5, dc-cl over side-top of last dc and next corner dc, ch 2, dc in same corner dc, ch 2; rep from * around; ch 2, join to 3rd st of first ch-5.

Rnd 7:Ch 6, * (sc between 2 dc of next Cluster, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3) across to 3rd st of corner ch-5, ch 3, dc in same st, ch 3; rep from * around; join to 3rd st of ch-6.

Rnd 8:Rep Rnd 6.

Rnd 9:Ch 1, sc in same st, * 2 sc in next sp, sc between 2 dc of next Cluster, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next dc, ch 4, sl st in last sc (picot); rep from * to corner; ** (3 sc, a ch-7 picot, 3 sc) in corner ch-5 sp; sc between next 2 dc, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next dc, a ch-4 picot; rep from * around; join to first sc, picot. Finish off and weave in ends.

Second Motif
Rnds 1-8:
Rep Rnds 1-8 of First Motif.

Rnd 9:Ch 1, sc in same st, * 2 sc in next sp, sc between 2 dc of next Cluster, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next dc, ch 4, sl st in last sc (picot); rep from * to corner; 3 sc in corner ch-5, ch 3, sl st in 1 lp of 4th (center) st of a corner picot on First Motif, ch 3, sl st back in last sc, 3 sc in balance of same sp, sc between next 2 dc, ** 2 sc in next sp, sc in next dc, ch 2, sl st in next picot on First Motif, ch 2, sl st back in last sc, 2 sc in next sp, sc between next 2 dc; rep from ** across; 3 sc in corner sp, ch 3, sl st in 1 lp of center st of corner picot on First Motif, ch 3, sl st back in last sc, 3 sc in balance of corner sp; complete md as for First Motif.

- Make a Third Motif joining it to Second Motif in same way, going into same center st of corner picot.

- Make a Fourth Motif joining it to Third and First Motifs.

CHAIR BACK DOILY
- Make 14 Motifs.
- Join 12 Motifs (3 x 4). Join 2 remaining Motifs together and to Second and Third Motifs on one long side.

ARM REST DOILY
(Make 2)
- Make 6 Motifs and join 2 x 3.
- Repeat for Second Arm Rest Doily.
Stretch and pin Doilies right-side-down in true shape.
Steam and press dry through a cloth.
