Size: Varies depending upon yarn and hook size

Materials: This pattern can be worked in any thread or yarn. Thread or fine yarn will produce smaller flowers; thicker yarns will produce larger flowers. Yardage will vary depending on the material used.

Crochet Hook: Hook size will vary depending on the yarn chosen for the project.

Our model was made in worsted weight yarn using a Size H-8 (5.00 mm) crochet hook.

 

 


Abbreviations
ch - chain

rnd - round

sc - single crochet(s)

dc - double crochet

lp(s) - loop(s)

sl st(s) - slip stitch(es)

Rose

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 6, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, [sc in ring, ch 4] 6 times; join with a sl st to first sc. (6 ch-4 lps)

DO NOT TURN.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, 7 dc, sc) in each ch-4 lp around, join. (6 petals)

Rnd 3: * Ch 5, working behind the petals, sl st between next 2 petals, rep from * around. (6 ch-5 lps)

Rnd 4: Ch 1, (sc, 9 dc, sc) in each lp around, join. (6 Petals)

Rnd 5: * Ch 6, working behind petals, sl st between next 2 petals, rep from * around. (6 ch-6 lps)

Rnd 6: Ch 1, (sc, 11 dc, sc) in each lp around, join.

Rnd 7: * Ch 7, working behind petals, sl st between next 2 petals, rep from * around (6 ch-7 lps)

Rnd 8: Ch 1, (sc, 13 dc, sc) in each lp around, join.

Leaves
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Green with sc to 4th (center) ch of any ch-7 lp, ch 2, *(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in sp between next 2 petals, ch 2, sc in 4th ch of next ch-7 lp, ch 2; rep from * 4 times more, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in sp between next 2 petals, ch 2; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, * 3 sc in next ch-2 sp, hdc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-3 sp, dc in next 2 dc, hdc in next dc, 3 sc in next ch-2 sp, skip next sc; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
