VICKIE'S SMALL FLOWER

Easy Skill

 

Size:  Small – About 2½" circumference.

 

Materials: Premier® Yarns Cotton Fair® – used in model.

Baby Weight Yarn :

For each Small Flower:

White – 2yds

Bright Pink – 10yds

 

Abbreviations

beg - beginning

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

hdc - half double crochet

lp(s) - loop(s)

rem - remaining

rep - repeat

rnd - round

sc - single crochet(s)

sp(s) - space(s)

slst(s) - slip stitch(es)

st(s) - stitch(es)

yo - yarn over

 

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

 

Crochet Hook:  Size G-6 (4.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

 

Gauge: With G-hook – 6dc = 1".

 

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

 

FLOWER

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with White, ch6; join with slst to first ch to form ring, ch3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), dc in ring, ch3, [2dc in ring, ch3] 5 times; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-5). (12dc & 6ch-3lps)

Rnd 2: Slst in sp between next 2 dc, *(2hdc, 3dc, 3hdc) in next ch-3sp, slst in sp between next 2 dc; rep from * around. (6 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.

 

CENTER

Rnd 1: (Right Side) With Bright Pink, ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with slst to first sc. Finish off leaving long end.

 

Using long end and yarn needle, weave end through sts on last round and pull to gather. Secure tightly and sew Center to right side of Flower.
