Stitch Repeat - Berry Stitch

Skill level - Easy

This stitch repeat can be worked with any size yarn. Use the hook size recommend for whatever yarn you choose.

Abbreviations

ch – chain

lp – loop

sc – single crochet

sk – skip

st – stitch

yo – yarn over

Special Stitches
Berry Stitch (berry): Yo, insert hook in next sc, pull up lp, yo, draw though 1 lp on hook, yo, insert hook in same sc, pull up lp, yo, draw through all 5 lps on hook, ch 1 to secure.

Ch any even number of stitches.
Row 1: (Right Side) Sc in 2^nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch) across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sl st in first sc, [berry in next sc, sl st in next sc] across.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sl st, [sl st in next berry, sc in next sl st] across.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, berry in first sc, [sl st in next sl st, berry in next sc] across.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in first berry, [sl st in next sl st, sc in next berry] across.

Repeat rows 2-5 until your project reaches the desired size. Finish off and weave in ends.
