Size: About 5" diameter.

 

Materials: Premier® Yarns – Deborah Norville Everyday® used in model.

Worsted Weight Yarn :

For each Flower:

Lemon – 8 yds

Grenadine – 25yds

 

Abbreviations

beg - beginning

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

lp(s) - loop(s)

rem - remaining

rep - repeat

rnd - round

sc - single crochet(s)

sp(s) - space(s)

slst(s) - slip stitch(es)

st(s) - stitch(es)

tr - treble crochet

yo - yarn over

 

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

 

Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm).

 

Gauge: Not important.

 

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

 

FLOWER

Center

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Lemon, ch4, slst in first ch to form ring, ch3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), 11dc in ring; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-3). (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch1, 2sc in same st as joining, sc in next dc, [2sc in next dc, sc in next dc] around; join with slst to first sc. (18sc)

Rnd 3: Ch1, sc in same st as joining, ch3, [skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch3] around; join with slst to first sc. (9sc & 9ch-3sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

 

Petals

Rnd 4: With right side facing, join Grenadine with sc to any ch-3sp, (dc, 5tr, dc, sc) in same sp, slst in corresponding next sc on Rnd 2 (working over sc of Rnd 3, [(sc, dc, 5tr, dc, sc) in next ch-3sp, slst in next corresponding sc on Rnd 2] around; join with slst to first sc. (9 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.
