Lily of the Valley - Free Crochet Pattern

This pattern calls for a Steel hook.  This is a great set that includes a range of sizes:


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lily-of-the-Valley

 

 

 

Skill Level: Intermediate

 

Materials: Size 10 Crochet Thread in White, Size 7 steel hook (1.65 mm).

Cloth Stem Wire

 

Size: Each bud approximately 1 inch in diameter and height.

 

ABBREVIATIONS

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

hdc - half double crochet

 

FLOWERS (Make 7)

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with White Thread and steel hook, ch 3, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 1, 9 hdc in ring; join with sl st to first hdc. (9 hdc)

Rnds 2-3: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each hdc around; join.

Rnd 4: (Ch 3, sl st in next hdc) around. Finish off and weave in ends.

 

Assembly - Using the photo as a guide, cut the stem wire into 18 pieces about 8” long. Lay cut stems on a sheet of wax paper.  Glue 7 flowers to each stem, beginning at the top and then layering one side and then another, leaving about 3” at one end without flowers. Leave to dry completely.
