Gerbera Daisy - Free Crochet Pattern

Gerbera Daisy

 

Skill Level: Intermediate

 

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn in Pink, Size 10 or 3 Crochet thread in Yellow.  Size H-8 and Steel #7 or #2 hooks.

 

Size: Approximately 4 inches across

 

 

Abbreviations

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

hdc - half double crochet

sc - single crochet

 

BASIC FLOWER

Note: Make one flower using Worsted Weight Yarn and a size H-8 hook and one using Crochet Thread and a Steel #7 hook.

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with selected yarn and hook, ch 3, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, 12 hdc in ring; join with sl st to first hdc. (12 hdc)

Rnd 2: Turn, (ch 8, sl st in next hdc) around. (12 lps)

Rnd 3: Turn, press loops to back, working in same sts as previous Rnd, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc) around; join. (18 hdc)

Rnd 4: Rep Rnd 2. (18 lps)

Rnd 5: Turn, press loops to back, working in same sts as previous Rnd, (2 sc in next hdc, sc in next hdc) around; join. (27 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.

 

Assembly - Using the photo as guide, with right sides facing, place Yellow Thread Flower on top of a Pink Yarn Flower. Sew or Glue the layered Flower together.
