City Life Shawl

Easy Skill

SizeTo fit average size women.

Finished Shawl: About 75" wide and 25" long.

Materials: Bulky Weight Yarn – 3.5oz, 280yds (100g, 256m) for each shawl.

Premier® Yarns – City Life™ used in model.
Yarn Needle.
 
Crochet Hook
Size N-15 (10.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
 
Gauge
4 rows = 4" and 4 blocks (dc, [ch1, dc] 4 times) = 4" 


Abbreviations
beg - beginning
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
lp(s) - loop(s)
rem - remaining
rep - repeat
sc - single crochet(s)
sp(s) - space(s)
slst(s) - slip stitch(es)
st(s) - stitch(es)
tr - treble crochet
yo - yarn over
 
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
 
SHAWL
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at bottom edge, ch1 (center ch), ch5 (counts as first tr and ch-1, now and throughout), (dc, ch1, tr) in center ch. (3sts & 2ch-1sps)

Row 2: Ch5 turn, dc in first tr, ch1, dc in next ch-1sp, ch1, dc in next dc, ch1, dc in next ch-1sp, ch1; (dc, ch1, tr) in last tr. (7sts & 6ch-1sps)

Rows 3-25: Ch5, turn, dc in first tr, ch1, [dc in next ch-1sp, ch1] across, ending with (dc, ch1, tr) in last tr.

At end Row 25, there are 76sts & 75 ch-1sps. Finish off and weave in ends.
