Easy Skill

Size: About 4 ½" diameter

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn
Small amounts of:
   White
   Blue

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Rnds 1-2 = 2" diameter

Abbreviations
beg - beginning

rnd - round

ch - chain

sc - single crochet(s)

dc - double crochet

sl st(s) - slip stitch(es)

hdc - half double crochet

sp(s) - space(s)

lp(s) - loop(s)

st(s) - stitch(es)

rem - remaining

tr - treble crochet

rep - repeat

yo - yarn over

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Coaster

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with White, ch 5; join with sl st to first ch to form a ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 11 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, hdc in same st as joining, 2 hdc in next dc, [hdc in next dc, 2 hdc in next dc] around; join with sl st to first hdc. Finish off. (18 hdc)
Rnd 3: With right side facing, join Blue with a sc to any hdc, sc in next hdc, 2 sc in next hdc, [sc in next 2 hdc, 2 sc in next hdc] around; join with sl st to first sc, finish off. (24 sc)
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join White with sl st to any sc, ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next sc, [2 dc in next sc, dc in next sc] around; join with sl st to first dc, finish off. (36 dc)
Rnd 5: With right side facing, join White with sl st to any dc, ch 3, skip next dc, [sl st in next dc, ch 3, skip next dc] around; join with sl st to first sl st. Finish off and weave in ends. (18 sl sts and 18 ch-3 lps)
