Frolicking Frog Fred (a Goliath frog) and friends, Frieda, Faith, Fay, Fiona, Fern, Frank, and Floyd, are enjoying a leisurely afternoon on a rippling pond. Frogs & Rippling Pond (afghan) and Pillow are easy to make with worsted weight yarn. Toy Frog Fred measures 21" long head to toe. Pillow measures 12” square and Afghan measures 40” wide x 45” long.
*Frogs were popularized in fairy tales and by the introduction of Kermit the Frog in 1955. He is one famously funny frog!
*Did you know that there are almost 5000 known species of frogs? They range in size from less than half an inch to nearly two and a half feet with legs extended, and can be found in a fascinating variety of colors and patterns. The adult Goliath frog can weigh as much as a housecat (7 lbs)! Luckily it lives in the rivers and streams in the rain forests of West Africa.
