Delight your mom this Mother's Day with a beautiful hand-made gift! This original filet crochet pattern was designed by the late Patsy Vaughn. She used this and other filet crochet patterns to make greeting cards for her loved ones. Originally she used size 80 thread and a #14 steel hook. This design is reworked in size 10 crochet thread, and makes a nice sized wall hanging. Below is a tribute to designer Patsy Vaughn, written by her daughter, Lisa.

Materials: Crochet Cotton Thread, size 10, White - 95 yds (86 meters), Pink, Yellow, Blue & Green - 5 yds (5 meters) each, 3 mm pearl beads - 9, 6 mm x 10 mm Pearl Drop Bead - 1, 1/8" Pink Satin Ribbon - 1-1/2 yds (1.3 meters), Sewing Needle, Heavy Spray Starch, Cardboard, Non-rust Pins.
Crochet Hook: Steel #7 (1.65 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 4 x 4 squares = 1"
