Cover Fits travel size Kleenex packages

You will need: Crochet Cotton Size 10 -

White (MC) – 75 yds, Pink (P) – 3 yds, Green (G) – 2 yds

Travel Size Kleenex Packages

Steel Crochet Hook: size7 (1.65 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 7 dc and 4 Rows = 1" (2.5 cm)

Special Stitches

Double Crochet Decrease (abbreviated dec)
Leaving last lp of each st on hook, dc in next 2 sts, yo and draw thought 3 lps on hook.

Directions
Rnd 1
(right side): Starting at top, with MC ch 36, being careful not to twist ch, join with sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3 (counts as dc now and throughout), (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same ch as joining, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch, dc in next 16 ch, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next 2 ch, dc in next 16 ch; join with sl st in first dc (join all dc rnds in this manner). (48 dc)
Rnd 2:Ch 3, dc in next dc, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 sp *, dc in next 20 dc; rep * to * once, dc in next 18 dc; join. (64 dc)
Rnd 3:Ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, dc in next 8 dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 sp *, dc in next 24 dc; rep * to * once, dc in next 20 dc; join. (80 dc)
Rnd 4:Ch 3, dc in next 5 dc, * 2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in next 12 dc, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp *, dc in next 28 dc; rep from * to * once, dc in next 22 dc; join with sl st in BL of first dc. (88 dc)
Rnd 5: Working in BL, ch 3, dc in each dc around; join.
Rnds 6-8:Ch 3, dc in each st around; join. (88 dc)
Rnds 9-12:
Dc in each st around working 3 dc dec in each corner; join. (76, 64, 52, 40 dc)

At the end of Rnd 12 you will have 40 dc.

Opening Ruffle
Join MC with a sl st in any unused lp of starting ch, (ch 5, sl st in next lp) around. Finish off and weave in end.

Outer Ruffle
Rnd 1:
With right side of opening facing and working in unused lps of Rnd 4, join MC with sl st in any lp, (ch 5, sl st in next lp) around.
Rnd 2:Sl st in next 3 ch, (ch 5, sl st in next lp) around. Finish off and weave in end.

Leaves (Make 2)
With G, ch 16, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, * sc in next 5 ch, sl st in next 3 ch, sc in next 5 ch *, (sl st, ch 1, sl st) in end ch, working around other side in unused lps of starting ch; rep from * to * once, sl st in last ch. Finish off and weave in end.

Roses (Make 2)
With P, ch 8, (4 sc, sl st) in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch, (4 hdc, sl st) in next 4 ch. Finish off leaving 8" (20 cm) end. Curl into Rose shape.

Finishing
Sew Rose to center of Leaf and Leaf to top of Tissue Cover as shown in photo. Insert Kleenex through bottom opening of Cover.
