ADULT AND CHILD DREAM PONCHOS

Size:

Misses S-L – 34" around shoulders, fits up to 42" bust

Womens 1X-3X – 42" around shoulders, fits up to 54" bust

Child's Small – Sizes 2-6 - 18" around neck, fits up to a 24" chest
Child's Large – Sizes 8-12 - 24" around neck, fits up to a 34" chest

 

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn

Adult: Nutmeg – 12 ¼ (16 ¼) oz, 650 (865) yds - 343 (455) grams, 520 (692) meters

Child: Waterlily – 7 (10 ½) oz, 372 (558) yds - 200 (300) grams, 340 (510) meters

1 ½ (2) yds 5/8" cream Satin Ribbon,

Yarn Needle.

Moda DeaTM Dream was used for our model.

Crochet Hook: 

Misses S-L & Child's Small: Size G-6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Womens 1X-3X & Child's Large: Size J-10 (6 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge. 

Gauge: With smaller hook - 15 dc &

9 dc rnds = 4"; with larger hook - 10 dc &

6 dc rnds = 4"

Gauge Swatches: 4" x 4"

Smaller Hook

Row 1: Ch 17, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (15 dc)

Rows 2-9: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc and in each dc across. (15 dc) Finish off.

Larger Hook:

Row 1: Ch 12, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. (10 dc)

Rows 2-6: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc and in each dc across. (10 dc) Finish off.

Note: If your swatch is larger or smaller than specified, make another, changing hook size to get the correct gauge. If your swatch is too small, use a larger hook.  If your swatch is too large, use a smaller hook.  Keep trying until you find the size hook that will give you the specified gauge.

Shell: [Tr, (ch 1, tr) 3 times] in sp indicated.

Shell in Shell: Work shell in center ch-1 sp of next shell.
