Mary's Doilies LA3853 - 7 Crochet Projects

With their delicate, lacy appearance, these breathtaking doilies represent the height of traditional crocheted elegance. The luxurious textures of the patterns are indescribably rich. You truly must make each one to see its real beauty. In addition to the five lacy round doilies, you will find one square doily and one lovely oval. Two of the seven crochet thread designs sparkle with iridescent beads. And because doilies are a classic decorative motif, they’ll look perfectly at home in any setting. 7 projects, each in Size 10 bedspread weight cotton thread: Tala (12.5" or 32cm white square doily), Rachel (13" or 33 cm cream round doily with beads), Heather (12"  x 19" or 30.5cm x 48.5cm cream oval doily with beads), and Hilary (11.5" or 29cm), Sherrie13" or 33 cm, Tanya,(11.5" or 29 cm) and Pauletta (11.5" or 28.5cm four white round doilies)

Skill level is 4 - Experience on all 7 doilies.

The image that is on top row of pictures on the solid brown background is the “Sherrie” doily crocheted by Danita Cronin using the Mary’s Doilies crochet pattern book.  Danita posted the picture of her doily on Facebook.

Here is the cat from Facebook when Danita posted her lovely doily…

Danita Cronin - This is the one that I did. It is very interesting working it as it starts out wavy and seems to have too many stitches but starts to lay flatter as it grows (thank goodness).  Very pretty pattern. Looking forward to trying some of the others in the book but have some other projects to do first. (Darn priorities).

Catherine - Beautiful!!!!!!

Dia - Gorgeous

Maggie - This is stunning! Thank you for sharing. How long did it take? Your doily would look gorgeous in Lace Pottery.

Danita Cronin - It took me a little over a day and a half. I have a full house right now for the holidays so it isn't as calm around here as usual for crocheting. I am doing one now in a blue #10 thread to see what it looks like. So far it is just as beautiful.

Karen - I wish we could have this on video, it is so beautiful.

Danita Cronin - Kare, I can see what I can do in regards to a video.

Danita Cronin - Maggie, I would be more then happen to send one to you just so that I could see what it would look like as a piece of your pottery.

Alice - Where can I find the pattern for this? It's beautiful and doesn't look all that complicated. I love pineapple patterns

Charlotte - Love this, I'm a newbe with crochet thread. Where might I find this pattern?

Karen - That would be wonderful if you did a video, I love the doily's so much but can't follow a written pattern.

Janis - What pattern book is this from? It is Breathtaking!

Maggie - Thank you Danita for posting the lovely picture of your doily and for being such an active member on Facebook. Your frequent comments and videos are a tremendous addition to our Maggies Crochet Facebook page.
