Materials For Each Bell:

Lion Brand Chenille:

Red (MC), 7 yards (1 meter),

White (CC) 5 yards (1 meter)

Brass Bell (20 mm)

Crochet Hook:Size G-6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Abbreviations

Joining With a Sc

When instructed to join with sc, begin with a slip knot on hook. Insert hook in stitch or space indicated, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw through both lps on hook.

Small Bell Directions

Rnd 1:With MC, leaving a 6" end on starting ch, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join, mark ends of rnds. (6 sc)

Rnd 2:2sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3:(2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) around. (16 sc)

Rnds 4-6:Sc in each st around. 

At the end of rnd 6, sl st in next st. Finish off MC.

Rnd 7:RS facing, join CC with a sc in any sc, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc. Finish off. (16 sc)

Rnd 8:RS facing, join MC with a sc in any st, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around, join with sl st in first sc. (24 sc)

Rnd 9:Ch 1, sc in each st around; join with a sl st in first sc. Finish off. 

Rnd 10:RS facing, join CC with a sl st in any sc, (ch 3, skip next st, sl st in next st) around. (12 ch-3 lps) Finish off. 

Finishing Tie

With CC, ch 16, finish off.

Insert one ends of tie through center top of Bell. Tie a knot on end inside Bell.  

Attach Brass Bell to long end of starting ch.

Large Bell Directions (Make 2)

Rnds 1-2:Rep Rnds 1-2 of Small Bell.

Rnd 3:(2 sc in next st, sc in next st) around. (18 sc)

Rnds 4-7: Sc around. 

At the end of rnd 7, sl st in next st. Finish off MC.

Rnd 8:RS facing, join CC with a sc in any sc, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc. (18 sc) Finish off.

Rnd 9:RS facing, join MC with a sc in any st, sc in next st, 2sc in next st, (sc in next 2 sts,

2 sc in next st) around; join with sl st in first sc. (24 sc)

Rnd 10:Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as joining, sc in next 3 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts) around; join with sl st in first sc. Finish off. (30 sc)

Rnd 11:RS facing, join CC with a sl st in any sc, (ch 3, skip next st, sl st in next st) around. (15 ch-3 lps) Finish off.
