Size:About 6” wide, 5” tall.

Materials:Size 10 Crochet Thread: Red - 225 yds.

¼” wide Ribbon - 1 yd

Fiberfill, Potpourri or Scented Absorbent Cotton.

Crochet Hook:Steel No. 7 (1.65 mm).

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

HEART (Make 2)

Rnd 1:(Right Side) Starting at top with hanger, ch 15, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 60 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (61 dc)

Work continues in Rows.

Row 1:Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st as joining (Shell made), ch 4, skip next 2 dc, sc in back loop of next 38 dc, ch 4, skip next 2 dc, Shell in next dc. Leave remaining sts unworked.

Rows 2-4:Ch 4, turn, Shell in first Shell, ch 4, sc in next lp, working in back loops only, sc in each sc across, sc in next lp, ch 4, Shell in next Shell.

Rows 5-9:Ch 4, turn, Shell in Shell, ch 4, skip next sc, working in back loops only, sc in each sc across to last sc, skip last sc, ch 4, Shell in Shell.

Rows 10-16:Ch 4, turn, Shell in Shell, ch 4, skip next 2 sc, working in back loops only, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, skip last 2 sc, ch 4, Shell in Shell.

Row 17:Ch 4, turn, Shell in Shell, ch 4, skip next

2 sc, working in back loops only, sc in next 2 sc,

ch 4, 3 dc in next Shell, ch 1, drop lp from hook, insert hook in sp of first Shell and draw dropped lp through, ch 2, 3 dc in same Shell.

Row 18:Ch 9, turn, skip next 4 dc, sl st in next dc (first dc of Row 17). Finish off and weave in ends.

Finishing - use photo as guide.

- Cut 8-12” length of Ribbon for Hanger.

- Dampen both Heart pieces and pin out to shape.

- When dry, with wrong sides together, matching shaping, draw ch-4 lps of first side through ch-4 lps of second side. With remaining ribbon, weave ribbon through these lps.

- Fill sachet with stuffing, muslin bag of potpourri or scented cotton before tying ribbon in bow at front.

- Using cut piece of Ribbon, thread through center hanger and secure.
