Materials:Worsted Weight Yarn.

Grey - 2 oz

Blue - 2 oz

Pink - ½ oz

Small amount Off-White.

12mm Moveable Eyes - 2

Silk Flowers

Yarn Needle

Hot Glue

Chalkboard - 8½" wide by 11½ long

Crochet Hook:Size I-9 (5.50 mm)

Abbreviations

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

RUFFLE

Rnd 1:(Right Side) With Grey, ch 110, taking care not to twist ch, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 4 dc in same ch as joining, * dc in next 22 ch, 5 dc in next ch, dc in next 31 ch *, 5 dc in next ch; rep from * to * once more; join with sl st to first dc. (126 dc)

Rnd 2:Ch 3, DO NOT TURN, working in back loops only, dc in each dc around, working 6 dc in center dc of each corner 5-dc group; join as before. (150 dc)

Rnd 3:Ch 1, working in both loops, sc in same st as joining, skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 3) 4 times, dc] in next dc, skip next 2 dc, * sc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 3) 4 times, dc] in next dc, skip next 2 dc; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc. (25 shells) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 4:With right side facing, working in front loops on Rnd 1, join Blue with sc to any st, skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 3) 4 times, dc] in next dc, skip next 2 dc,

* sc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 3) 4 times, dc] in next dc; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc. (25 shells) Finish off and weave in ends. (21 shells)

PIG

Head

Rnd 1:With Pink, ch 1 (center ch), ch 4 (counts as first tr), 15 tr in center ch; join with sl st to first tr.  (16 tr) DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Ears

Row 1:* Ch 3, DO NOT TURN, keeping last lp of each dc on hook, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in next tr, yo and draw through all lps on hook, sl st down side of ear to Rnd 1 *, sl st in next 2 tr; rep from * to * for second Ear, sl st in next 5 tr. DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Body

Row 1:Ch 2 (counts as first hdc now and throughout), 2 hdc in same tr, hdc in next 2 tr, 3 hdc in next tr. (8 hdc) Leave remaining sts unworked.

Row 2:Ch 2, turn, 2 hdc in same hdc, [hdc in next hdc] across to last hdc, 3 hdc in last hdc. (12 hdc)

Rows 3-5:Ch 2, turn, [hdc in next hdc] across.

(12 hdc)

Rows 6-7:Ch 2, turn, hdc dec, [hdc in next hdc] across to last 2 hdc, hdc dec. (10, 8 hdc)

At the end of Row 7, ch 8 (for tail), 3 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, 3 sc in next 6 ch; sl st in bottom of Row 7. Finish off and weave in ends.

Nose

With Off-White, ch 1 (center ch), [ch 2, sl st in center ch] twice, [5 sc in next ch-2 lp] twice; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Tie

With Grey, ch 50. Finish off and weave in ends.

- Tie in a bow.

Finishing - use photo as guide

- Glue right side of Ruffle to back edge of chalk-board.

- Glue Nose, Eyes and Bow to front of Pig. 

- Glue Flowers to side of board.

- Glue Pig over base of flowers.
